SAVE THE DATES: Dec 13-15 Upcoming Cannabis Advisory Committee Public Meetings

The Department of Cannabis Control’s (DCC) Cannabis Advisory Committee meetings are set for Dec. 13-15, 2022.

Meeting schedule and agendas:

During the CAC meeting, members will discuss recommendations to DCC related to the Local Jurisdiction Retail Access Grant program, a $20 million grant program to incentivize local governments to withdraw bans and begin permitting cannabis retailers. The grant program aims to provide consumers with better access to regulated, tested cannabis products. The CAC will also receive reports from the Equity and Cultivation Subcommittees and consider adoption of recommendations from the subcommittees, if any.

The Equity Subcommittee will discuss challenges for equity businesses in the regulated market, how to support and incentivize equity, beneficial aspects of equity programs, and potential recommendations on how to clarify and streamline existing regulations.

The Cultivation Subcommittee will discuss challenges for licensed cultivators, potential recommendations to clarify and streamline current regulations, and opportunities to support legacy and craft farmers.

All three of these meetings will be live-streamed and open to the public. Instructions for joining the virtual meetings are included in each respective agenda.

No registration is required to join. Meeting materials will be posted to the DCC website as they become available.
