Our Accomplishments

Almost a decade has passed since the creation of UCBA. In that time, we have struggled, thrived, and fought passionately for our place in California as an emerging industry. Our group established relationships with the decision makers in California Cannabis legislation and regulation to lower regulatory barriers and reduce the costs associated with operating in this costly business environment.

Accomplishments don’t just come with what has moved this industry forward, it is also about protecting our industry from sliding backwards. Many in government would like to continue with more oversight, more regulations and more cost increases to the industry in exchange for higher taxes and punitive fees to fund the government. Our job is to push back to achieve rational changes that dont further harm the viability of legal cannabis in California.

This ever growing list of accomplishments is here for everyone to see the amount of work it takes to protect the future of legal cannabis. It takes forethought to come up with creative ways to lower taxes within the tax code and sometimes it takes reactions to proposed changes where we gather the industry together to fight for our rights in order to be successful.

Become part of the solution, don’t suffer the hardships that come with remaining silent.
